How To Prevent Electric Vehicle Fire Accidents
1. Regularly inspect electric vehicles
Regularly check the circuit connection points of electric vehicles to prevent loose contact from causing ignition and heating at the contact points, and to avoid short circuits and series power accidents caused by aging and wear of the circuit; Electric vehicles often encounter various malfunctions during normal use. During the maintenance process, it is important to choose a professional maintenance organization or personnel, and not dismantle electrical protection devices without authorization to ensure that the electrical circuits and protection devices are intact and effective.
2. Do not charge in a closed environment
The battery of an electric bicycle emits flammable gases during charging, so charging should not be done in a narrow and sealed environment. It should be done outdoors as much as possible, or the battery should be removed and used separately. When charging, a suitable circuit should be selected, and the circuit should be fixed and installed. Short circuit and leakage protection devices should be added.
3. Pay attention to standardized charging
Electric vehicle charging must be kept away from flammable materials and cannot be charged for too long. If the charging time is too long, the charger may overheat and cause fire. Charging should be carried out according to the instructions, and should not exceed 10 hours in principle; When charging, the charger should be placed in a place that is relatively easy to dissipate heat; If the battery of an electric bicycle is of poor quality or used for a long time, the temperature of the charger is easily too high, which can cause a fire. Therefore, charging during nighttime sleep should not be taken lightly.
4. Pay attention to driving regulations
During the process of starting and climbing an electric bicycle, one should step on the pedal to assist in movement, to prevent excessive starting current and prolonged overloading of the components, which may cause overheating damage to the motor coil, circuit, battery, and speed controller, and may also lead to disasters. Try to avoid driving on rainy or waterlogged roads as much as possible to prevent the motor from getting wet and catching fire due to short circuits during charging.
